Three winners for Librettist

Leiba Leiba wins by four lengths to become the latest successful juvenile for his first-season sire

First-season sire Librettist recorded his third individual winner on 9 June when Leiba Leiba took the five-furlong maiden at Yarmouth in impressive style.

Racing keenly just off the pace, the Marco Botti-trained colt was shaken up two furlongs out and taking the lead inside the final furlong, stretched clear of his rivals and ran on well to win by four lengths.

Owned and bred by Dachel Stud, Leiba Leiba is out of the winning Diesis mare Giusina Mia, who has now produced four winners from four foals to race.

Librettist, who won twice as a juvenile himself, went on to win the G1 Prix Jacques le Marois and G1 Prix du Moulin at four. He is also sire of promising colt Libranno, who made all to win a six-furlong Newmarket maiden last month, earning him a Timeform rating of 90p.
