Third G2 win for Master Of The Seas

Son of Dubawi beats Aldaary (Territories) in Summer Mile; new winner for Too Darn Hot

Dubawi’s brilliant son Master Of The Seas struck for the third time at G2 level on Saturday, 15 July when easily winning the Summer Mile at Ascot. Held up in the rear off the fast early pace, he cruised into contention and wasn’t hard pressed to record a four-length triumph over Aldaary (Territories).

Master Of The Seas has now won six of his 13 starts including the G2 Superlative as a juvenile and the G2 Zabeel Mile earlier this season. He was also a short-head second to Poetic Flare in the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket.

A Godolphin homebred, Master Of The Seas is one of ten winners bred by Firth Of Lorne including Stakes winners Latharnach (Iffraaj) and Falls Of Lora (Street Cry), who is herself the dam of two G1 winners.

Dubawi has sired 24 Stakes winners in 2023 including three top-flight scorers in Modern Games, Lord North and In Italian.

Dubawi’s Champion son Too Darn Hot sired a new winner earlier in the afternoon when Race The Wind struck at Newmarket.

Her sires fourth individual winner, she is a close relative of Master Of The Seas being the fifth winner bred out of Falls Of Lora, dam of G1 winners Cascadian (New Approach) and Albahr (Dubawi).
