Star Chilean colt Robert Bruce remains unbeaten

Three-year-old son of Fast Company lands his third G1 in the Clasico Nacional Ricardo Lyon

Fast Company’s star Chilean three-year-old Robert Bruce extended his winning sequence to five on Sunday, 1 October when running right away with the G1 Clasico Nacional Ricardo Lyon. Always cantering over the 2000m trip, he made a bold move up the inside rail in the straight, and after squeezing his way through, he skipped away to win unchallenged by eight-and-a-quarter lengths, with his paternal half-brother Quitralman a distant second.

In his four previous victories, Robert Bruce had already picked up a brace of G1’s in the Clasico Alberto Vial Infante and the Clasico Polla de Potrillos.

Robert Bruce was bred by Haras Convento Viejo and is out of G1 winner Lady Pelusa (Orpen).

Fast Company is the sire of six individual Group winners, headed by G1 Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Jet Setting and G2 winners Devonshire, Baitha Alga and El Notario. This season his daughter Penny Pepper landed the G3 Ballyogan Stakes at the Curragh.
