South African Listed winner for Cape Cross

Torra Bay lands the Kwazulu-Natal Stakes at Greyville

Australian-bred Cape Cross four-year-old Torra Bay recorded her first black-type win in the Kwazulu Stakes over 1000m at Greyville in South Africa.

Bred by Lee Fleming, Torra Bay extended her impressive record to four wins from just five starts when taking the sprint contest by a quarter of a length.

She is out of the Hurricane Sky mare Vodka Twist, a half-sister to stakes winner and producer Discriminate.

Best known for his stellar offspring Sea The Stars and Ouija Board, Cape Cross is the sire of nine individual Group One winners and 69 stakes winners in total. He stands at Kildangan Stud for a fee of €35,000, October 1, Special Live Foal.
