Seventh winner for Cracksman

Dickieburd wins impressively at Chester

First season sire Cracksman sired a new winner on Saturday, 9 July when his two-year-old son, Dickieburd, ran out an impressive winner at Chester.

Under jockey Barry McHugh, the bay colt, who is trained by Craig Lidster, was sharp away and made all in the five-furlong contest, he proved too good for his rivals and went on to win by one-and-a-quarter lengths for owner Mrs Wendy Burdett.

Bred by Alfa Site Services Ltd, Dickieburd is a second foal out of the five-furlong winning mare, Lydia’s Place (Equiano).

Cracksman, a European Champion at three and World Champion at four after two dominant displays in the G1 Champion Stakes, has now sired seven winners. These include Italian winners, Aloa and Diamond Angel, and Petra who has won twice in Spain.
