Second winner for Authorized

Witnessed wins on debut for Godolphin

Witnessed, a first-crop daughter of Derby winner Authorized, became her sire’s second winner when landing the seven-and-a-half-furlong maiden by a length on her first racecourse appearance at Beverley on Saturday.

Bred by Darley, she is out of the Machiavellian mare Magic Mission, a Grade Three winner in the US.

Authorized sired his first winner Tamarrud, also trained by Godolphin, earlier this month, the same day the Peter Chapple-Hyam-trained Everlong made an eye-catching debut to finish runner-up at Newmarket. She holds an entry for the G1 Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket in September, while Tamarrud may head to the G2 Beresford Stakes at the Curragh.
