Second Stakes win of 2020 for daughter of Raven’s Pass

Lemista easily wins the Listed Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes

Lemista, a progressive three-year-old daughter of Raven’s Pass, remained unbeaten in 2020 with an easy victory in the Listed Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes. She came into the race on the back of a victory in the G3 Park Express Stakes, and always travelled strongly in the nine-and-a-half furlong contest. Coming through to lead two furlongs from home, she cruised to a two-length victory.

Bred by Drumlin Bloodstock, Lemista is a daughter of Shortmile Lady, a half-sister to Stakes-winning sprinter Indian Maiden.

Lemista is one of 10 Stakes performers sired by Raven’s Pass this year. They are headed by impressive G1 winner Matterhorn, who won the Al Maktoum Challenge R3 back in March.
