Second G2 win for New Predator

Son of New Approach lands the Charity Mile in South Africa

New Approach’s four-year-old Australian-bred son New Predator landed his second G2 contest on Saturday 5 November when taking the Charity Mile at Turffontain in South Africa. The winner of the G2 Drill Hall Stakes back in May, he was always prominent on the inside, and making his move two furlongs from home, run all the way to the line for an impressive success.

Bred by Mr D Austin, New Predator is the best performer out of the winning Fastnet Rock mare Head Over Heels, who hails from the same female family as Iffraaj’s multiple G2-winning filly Serena Miss.

New Approach, who is standing this coming season at a fee of £30,000, has sired 20 Stakes performers in 2016 including G1-winner Elliptique and fellow G1 performers Nearly Caught, Potemkin and Australian Derby runner-up Etymology.
