Rizeena an exciting prospect for Iffraaj

Juvenile filly is the impressive winner of the Listed National Stakes

Rizeena, a two-year-old daughter of Iffraaj, looked to be an extremely exciting prospect for her sire when landing the Listed National Stakes at Sandown in eye-catching fashion on 30 May.

Sent straight to the front under Ryan Moore, Clive Brittain’s charge travelled smoothly throughout the five-furlong contest and quickened impressively during the closing stages to win by three lengths.

Rizeena broke her maiden at Ascot earlier this month and will now return to the Berkshire racecourse for the Royal Meeting, where she will run in either the Albany or Queen Mary.

Bred by Roundhill Stud, she is the first winner out of Serena’s Storm, a half-sister to Shamardal’s G2 winner Puissance de Lune.

Iffraaj, also sire of the unbeaten Champion juvenile Wootton Bassett and New Zealand Champion Filly Fix, stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €10,000 October 1st SLF.
