Raven’s Pass filly soars in second start

Raven’s Rockette is her sire’s fourth winner in 2 1/2 weeks

With six other winners already in England, France and Italy, you can now add the filly Raven’s Rockette to Raven's Pass’ growing number of first-crop winners as she became her sire’s seventh with an impressive win at Presque Isle Downs on August 14.

Raven’s Rockette was set to improve off a solid fourth on her turf debut last month and that she did. Allowed to settle mid-pack in the one-mile maiden special event over the main track, the dark bay or brown juvenile began to make her move as the field entered the stretch and pulled away as the field neared the line to win by a widening six lengths.

Raven’t Rockette is a half-sister to G2 winner Behindathebar, and is out of the G1-placed Runaway Groom mare Rihana, herself a half-sister to the multiple Listed Stakes winner Bear Holiday. Raven’s Rockette was bred in Kentucky by Meadow Oaks Farm, LLC & Dr. Frank Justice.

Raven’s Pass, who set a new course record when winning the Breeders’ Cup Classic, is also represented by his first winner, Lovely Pass, who followed her debut victory with a third in Listed company at Royal Ascot to the New Approach colt Tha’Ir in the Chesham Stakes. Five additional winners include the 88-rated Snowboarder and promising Glorious Goodwood winner Steeler.
