Pinatubo sired a new two-year-old Black Type winner on Thursday, 25 June when his daughter Glorious Game dead heated for first in the Listed Empress Fillies Stakes, run over six furlongs at Newmarket’s July course.
The Hugo Palmer-trained filly was always prominent under Oisin Murphy and mounted her challenge two furlongs from home. Glorious Game battled impressively in the closing stages and crossed the line in tandem with the more experienced Havana Sprite to force a dead heat.
She is now unbeaten in two starts, having broken her maiden on debut at Windsor earlier this month.
Glorious Game was bred by Highview Bloodstock and is out of the dual Stakes winner Along Came Casey (Oratorio), dam of six winners including fellow Black Type winner Feliciana De Vega.
Also at Newmarket on Thursday, Pinatubo recorded his 20th three-year-old winner of the year when Vanilla Skies made the perfect start to her racing career, landing the seven-furlong Fillies’ Novice.
Pinatubo has now sired five individual Black Type winners this year, headed by G3-winning duo Komorebi and Saddadd, both of whom have been placed at G1 level in 2026.
