Oaks Trial victory for Authorized

Toujours l’Amour wins her first Stakes race at Lingfield

Authorized sired a new Stakes winner of Saturday 9 May when his three-year-old daughter Toujours l’Amour ran out the game one-and-a-quarter length winner of the Lingfield Oaks Trial. A debutant winner last season at Newmarket, today was only her third career start and although she doesn’t currently hold an entry at Epsom she is in the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Bred by Stratford Place Stud, Toujours l’Amour is a daughter of the Stakes-winning mare High Heel Sneakers (Dansili), who also has a two-year-old colt by New Approach named Desert Idol.

Toujours l’Amour becomes Authorized’s sixth Stakes winner of 2015 after the G1 BMW winner Hartnell, New Zealand G2-scorer Maygrove, progressive four-year-olds Answered and Lacy and Australian Listed hero Authoritarian. Authorized stands at Haras du Logis in France at a fee of €10,000 Oct 1st, SLF.
