Pazzo Pazzini becomes the first Darley-bred two-year-old winner for Tiger Hill

Two-year-old Pazzo Pazzini is named after a famous Italian footballer and he certainly scored in impressive fashion on his racecourse debut at Livorno when winning a 1500m conditions race by five lengths.

Bred by Keatly Overseas Ltd, the son of Tiger Hill and the Lion Cavern mare Pride Of My Heart, who is a half-brother to G2 Temple Stakes winner Night Prospector, may now take aim at the Listed Criterium Labronico.

Pazzo Pazzini is the first winner from what promises to be a very exciting crop for the son of Danehill. Of the 110 foals produced from Tiger Hill’s 2006 book, individuals to note include half-siblings to George Washington, Newdawi, Pure Grain, Invermark, Donna Blini and Menhoubah.

The two-year-olds of 2009 also feature the offspring of some outstanding racemares, such as Group One winners Petrushka (Irish Oaks, Prix de l’Opera etc.), Volvoretta (Prix Vermeille), Rebecca Sharp (Coronation Stakes), Zanzibar (Italian Oaks), May Ball (Prix Maurice de Gheest), Guadelupe (Italian Oaks), Glorosia (Ascot Fillies Mile) and Valley Of Gold (Italian Oaks).
