New winner for Vale Of York

Harold Peto beats 16 rivals at Navan

Vale Of York sired a new winner on Wednesday October 22, when his son Harold Peto beat 16 rivals by upwards of one-and-a-half lengths in the one mile maiden at Navan.

Bred by Denis McDonnell, he is the fifth winner to be bred out of the Dr Devious mare Almansa, who is a half-sister to G1 performer Alasha, dam of Raven's Pass' Stakes-winning juvenile Alonsoa.

Harold Peto was the second winner on the day for Vale Of York after Great Park was the impressive three-and-a-quarter length victor of the seven furlong Nursery at Newmarket, his second career victory.

Vale Of York has now sired 14 individual winners including the unbeaten Fontanelice, winner of five starts, four of which are at Stakes level including last weekends triumph in the G3 Premio Dormello.
