First-season sire Ribchester continues to make his presence felt with his first crop of runners and on Wednesday, 1 September he added a 12th winner to his record, courtesy of Garachico.
Slightly slowly away in the nine-furlong maiden, Garachcio moved up to second position after three furlongs. Asked to quicken approaching the final turn, the colt ran on well to win going away by a length and a half.
He was bred by Duke Alburquerque and is out of the G2 winner Frine.
Also on Wednesday, Exceed And Excel’s three-year-old daughter Libre added a first Stakes win to her record, landing the Listed Baden-Baden Cup in Germany.
