Ribchester sired a new winner on Thursday, 5 August when his first-crop daughter Shaikha was an impressive debutant winner at Deauville. Trained by Andre Fabre and owned by Al Shakab Racing, the €240,000 yearling earned a TDN Rising Star status when winning by upwards of three lengths over her eight rivals.
Bred by Haras du Cadran, Shaikha is a half-sister to Stakes winner Darkness and out of the winning Makfi mare Kerila.
Champion miler Ribchester has now sired seven individual winners including the highly rated trio Flaming Rib, Gisburn and Ruthin.
