New juvenile Stakes winner for Raven's Pass

Lightly-raced filly Rosay lands the Listed Criterium du Languedoc in France

Raven's Pass sired his third Stakes-winning juvenile of 2015 on Wednesday 11 November when his daughter Rosay landed the listed Criterium du Languedoc. Run over a mile at Toulouse, the same course and distance as her Maiden triumph in October, she showed tremendous grit to burst through on the rails and hold on for a comfortable victory.

Bred by Kildaragh Stud, Rosay is a half-sister to 2015 Stakes-performer Teofilo Calva (Teofilo) and a daughter of Stakes-winner Petit Calva, who is herself a half-sister to US G1 winner Mauralakana.

Rosay is one of 15 juvenile winners sired by Raven's Pass this season that also includes the Stakes-winning pair Riflescope and Aquila Solitaria and the highly-rated three-time Group-placed Ibn Malik. Rosay is one of six two-year-old Stakes winners sired by Raven's Pass over the past two seasons, coming at a very impressive strike rate of 10.2%, placing him second amongst elite European stallions with 50+ runners.

He will be standing this coming season at a fee of €15,000 Oct 1st, SLF.
