New Group winner for Kheleyf

Majestic Queen sprints to victory in the Ballyogan Stakes at Leopardstown

Kheleyf’s four-year-old daughter Majestic Queen put up a tremendous performance at Leopardstown on 12 June to run out the ready winner of the six-furlong G3 Ballyogan Stakes.

Settled in second position under Pat Smullen, Majestic Queen was the first to set sail for home and simply could not be caught, running on superbly to win by two and a half lengths from Joyeuse (a Stakes-winning half-sister to Frankel). This was the fourth career victory for the Tracey Collins-trained filly.

Bred by Sunderland Holdings Limited, Majestic Queen is out of the winning Danehill mare Night Fairy, a full sister to Stakes winner Fairy Of The Night and a half-sister to Group winner Dress Rehearsal. They are from the family of smart performer Grandeur.

Kheleyf, also known as a prolific producer of speedy juveniles, has now sired 17 individual Black type winners and five Group winners including G1 performers Sayif and Vladimir.
