Need You Now scores in Le Cle Stakes

A juvenile winner of the Radley Stakes at Newbury last year, Kheleyf's three-year-old daughter Need You Now crossed the Atlantic and earned her second Stakes victory on 7 July in the Le Cle Stakes at Hollywood Park.

In the one-mile race the filly settled comfortably into second position. Angling herself to the outside, Need You Now took on the leader in the home straight before kicking on to score by more than three lengths.

Bred by John Weld, Need You Now is out of the Shernazar mare Siffle, and is a half-sister to Listed winner and Pretty Polly Stakes-placed Snippets.

Kheleyf sired a remarkable 42 juvenile winners in 2012, equalling Invincible Spirit's record for a European stallion. In 2013 he has been represented by three-year-old filly Charlie Em, a winner of the G3 Senorita Stakes at Hollywood Park. His other Group winners include Penny's Picnic, Sayif, and Percolator.
