More Stakes glory for Blue Point at Chantilly

Remmooz battles his way to victory in a thrilling finish.

Remmooz, a four-year-old son of Blue Point, showed his tenacity and will to win when a late thrust saw him snatch victory in the G3 Prix Bertrand du Breuil Longines over one mile at Chantilly on Sunday 14th June 2026.

The Owen Burrows-trained raider broke on terms with the small field and was held in second place by his jockey, Callum Rodriguez. Always travelling strongly, Remmooz stalked the leader before being asked to challenge on the outside as they straightened for home. The colt showed his willing and, with head stretched out and ears pinned back, closed in on the frontrunner before striking the front around a furlong from home and edging a half-length clear in the shadow of the post.

Bred by Blue Diamond Stud out of their mare Lady Ramon (Ramonti), Remmooz was taking his winning tally to five and scoring for the first time at Group level.

Blue Point leads the field in northern hemisphere Stakes winners at a mile or less, no other stallion this century has sired more at this stage in their career, and his yearlings have made up to a million guineas in the sales ring.

Blue Point stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €100,000 (Oct 1 SLF).
