Lovelace is victorious in Germany

Royal Applause colt wins the G2 Darley Oettingen-Rennen

Royal Applause colt, Lovelace made his first trip to Germany a successful one on Tuesday when winning the Darley sponsored G2 Oettingen-Rennen at Baden-Baden.

The winner of the G3 Supreme Stakes at Goodwood on this corresponding day last year, he was ridden by Jamie Spencer and proved successful by one-and-three-quarter lengths in the one-mile contest.

Bred by Mrs Mary Taylor, he is the first foal of winning Polar Falcon mare, Loveleaves, and from the family of US G1 winner, Stroll.

It has been a successful season so far for Royal Applause, who has sired the US G2 winner, Whatsthescript, as well as Pattern winning juveniles in Europe, Please Sing and Finjaan.
