Listed winner for Country Reel

Katmandoune wins the Grand Prix du Lion d’Angers

Country Reel’s three-year-old daughter Katmandoune gained black type at the first time of asking on Thursday when winning the Listed Grand Prix du Lion d’Angers in France.

Bred by D Cherdo, the filly, who is out of Louvardie (Loup Solitaire) from the family of Kaldounevees, won a conditions race at Deauville as a two-year-old and is the fifth stakes winner for her sire.

In May, Country Reel’s three-year-old colt Absolutly Yes won the G3 Prix de Guiche at Chantilly, and the Haras du Logis sire was represented last month by the juvenile Listed winner Don’t Teutch.
