The Kheleyf juveniles are at it again

Darley homebred is fifth winner this week for young sire and his twelfth in total

Darley homebred Wohaida continued an extraordinary run of success for first-season sire Kheleyf, who has now recorded five new individual winners in a week plus a G3 victory courtesy of four-time winner Percolator.

The Mick Channon-trained Wohaida, out of the Dancing Brave mare Cambara, is a half-sister to three winners, including the G3-placed Samhari. Cambara herself raced for Sheikh Mohammed and won three times as a three-year-old.

Kheleyf now has a clear lead at the top of the freshman sires’ table with 12 winners in total. His son Sayif, who finished runner-up on his one race to date for Authorized's former owners Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar, is entered in the G2 July Stakes on Thursday.
