Jon Snow wins the G2 Tulloch Stakes at Rosehill

Talented son of Iffraaj adds a first Stakes victory on his Australian debut

Iffraaj’s G1-placed son Jon Snow recorded an impressive win in the G2 Tulloch Stakes at Rosehill Gardens on 25 March to add a well-deserved first victory at Stakes level to his record.

The three-year-old colt, last seen finishing third to his paternal half-brother Gingernuts in the G1 New Zealand Derby, travelled comfortably just behind the early pace. Asked for his effort once entering the straught, Jon Snow soon drew clear and powered home to win by two and a half lengths.

Bred by R W E Moore, Jon Snow is out of the winning O’Reilly mare Orinda, a half-sister to Group winner Ubiquitous.

Iffraaj has sired seven G1 winners to date including brilliant miler Ribchester, Chriselliam and Wootton Bassett, plus the aforementioned G1 New Zealand Derby winner Gingernuts, who followed up last week with victory in the G1 Rosehill Guineas.

Iffraaj stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £27,500 October 1st SLF.
