Jet Setting back with a bang

Fast Company’s Irish 1.000 Guineas winner takes the Concorde Stakes by six and a half lengths

Jet Setting, who became the first G1 winner for her sire Fast Company earlier this year with a thrilling victory in the Irish 1,000 Guineas, returned to winning ways in fine style on 2 October with an easy win in the G3 Concorde Stakes at Tipperary.

Always close to the pace under Shane Foley, Jet Setting laid down her challenge with two furlongs left to run and once in front, soon moved clear and made light of the heavy ground to ease clear and win by six and a half lengths. Dubawi filly Joailliere added further Black type to her record when taking second.

Jet Setting was bred by P Kelly and is out of the winning Johannesburg mare Mean Lae, herself a daughter of Black type winner Plume Rouge.

Fast Company is also sire of Devonshire, who took this year’s G2 Ridgewood Pearl Stakes, having finished third in the Irish 1,000 Guineas last year.
