Impressive Listed win for son of Ribchester

Facteur Cheval strikes in the Prix de Saint-Patrick at Chantilly

Facteur Cheval, a first-crop son of Ribchester, struck on his first attempt at Stakes level on Saturday, 2 July in the Listed Prix de Saint-Patrick. The winner of his first three races, he was held up off the slow early pace before showing a devastating turn of foot down the outside, winning the one-mile contest by two lengths.

Facteur Cheval is first foal of the Shamardal mare Jawlaat, who is a half-sister to Teofilo’s Group-winning sprinter Tantheem. He is a fine advertisement for his breeders McCracken Farms who have punched well above their weight from their small stud in Northern Island.

Ribchester has now sired four Stakes winners including G1 sprinter Flaming Rib, who will be supplemented for next weekend’s G1 July Cup at Newmarket.
