Impressive juvenile Stakes winner for Pinatubo

Quiescent easily lands the Listed Prix Herod at Saint-Cloud

Pinatubo added a new Stakes winner to his record when his juvenile daughter Quiescent strode clear to win the Listed Prix Herod over seven furlongs at Saint-Cloud on Sunday, 9 November.

Quiescent was ridden patiently by Maxime Guyon and came through the field with ease when asked for an effort with two furlongs to run, going on to win by a wide margin and taking her record to four wins from six starts.

Bred by Promenade Bloodstock Limited, Quiescent is the third foal out of the winning Cape Cross mare Stay Silent, making her a half-sister to G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf winner Mischief Magic.

It was a second new Stakes winner for Pinatubo this month, after his juvenile daughter Pintara landed the Listed Montrose Fillies’ Stakes at Newmarket last weekend. He is the sire of 16 Stakes performers, including fellow second-crop juveniles Dickensian and Hardy Warrior, both placed in G2 company.

He stands at Dalham Hall Stud for a fee of ÂŁ17,500 Oct 1, SLF in 2026.
