Iffraaj sires his first winner

Nasharra wins at the first time of asking to open his young sire’s winner’s account

Darley first-season sire Iffraaj recorded his first winner on 17 May when his son Nasharra made a successful racecourse debut over five furlongs at Leicester.

Always prominent, the Kevin Ryan-trained colt took the lead half a furlong from home and kept to his task well to win by a length.

Bred by Mr P McCutcheon, Nasharra is out of the winning Distant View mare There With Me, now dam of three winners from three foals to hit the track including the Stakes-placed filly Give Me The Night.

Ifraaj, a three-time G2 winner who was narrowly beaten in the G1 July Cup, stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €6,000 October 1st terms.
