Iffraaj filly salutes in Airfreight Stakes

Kisses becomes the 12th Stakes winner for her sire with victory in New Zealand

Breaking her maiden last start, three-year-old Iffraaj filly Kisses accounted for a quality line up in the Listed New Zealand Bloodstock Airfreight Stakes on 6 March, becoming the 12th Stakes winner for her sire with victory.

Having finished a narrow second last campaign behind fellow Stakes-winning Iffraaj filly Twilight Granita in the Listed Fordell O'Leary Stakes, Kisses defeated Adolay with Iffraaj filly If I Can I Can dead-heating for third. Later in the day Twilight Granita finished second in the G1 NZ Thoroughbred Breeders' Stakes over a mile.

Bred and raced by Chequers Stud, the filly is out of the Marscay mare La Marmalade, the dam of Singapore Listed winner Tres Sheik as well as the Listed placed Master Regent.

The sire of 12 stakes winners internationally highlighted by G1 winner Wootton Bassett, Iffraaj is standing the current breeding season at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €10,000, October 1st Special live foal.
