Eastern Aria becomes the latest Stakes winner for Halling when landing the Prix Joubert at Saint-Cloud

Halling's offspring are well known for their consistency, with his 23 G1 and G2 horses averaging 23 starts each. The Darley stallion recorded a new Black type winner on 24 September when his progressive and dependable daughter Eastern Aria won the Listed Prix Joubert at Saint-Cloud.

Making her first start in Stakes company, the Mark Johnston-trained filly was settled just off the pace and taking the lead inside the final two furlongs and ran on well to land the 12-furlong contest by two lengths. She has now won on seven occasions from 15 starts and has been placed a further five times.

Owned by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed al Maktoum and bred by Darley, Eastern Aria is out of the winning Danzig mare Badraan, herself a daughter of G3 winner Gold Sunrise.

Halling is also sire of leading Arc fancy and G1 winner Cavalryman, plus promising juvenile Layali Al Andalus, who holds an entry in this Sunday’s G2 Beresford Stakes at the Curragh.
