Greg Pass strikes again in Italy

Son of Raven’s Pass lands the G3 Premio Ribot in Rome

Raven’s Pass’s consistent four-year-old son Greg Pass landed his third Stakes race of the season, and fourth overall, on Sunday 23 October when taking the G3 Premio Ribot. Run over a mile in Rome, he was supplementing his victories earlier in the season in the G3 Premio del Guibileo and Listed Premio Bereguardo, both at Milan. He now has the enviable record of winning half of his 14 career starts.

Bred by Valdirone Soc Ag Sas Di Lualdi Lucia & C, Greg Pass is one of three Stakes performers produced by the St Jovite mare Baranja. She has had six winners from six foals to race including the G1-placed juvenile Billy Budd (Shamardal).

The sire of 15 individual Stakes winners, Raven’s Pass has also sired this season the G2 Hungerford Stakes hero Richard Pankhurst, European Free Handicap winner Ibn Malik and the impressive Stakes winners Secret Number and Zayva.
