Green Manalishi triumphs again

Third Listed winner at Chester for Green Desert gelding; Tiger Hill colt wins Listed race on the German Oaks card at Dusseldorf

Green Manalishi reaffirmed his love of Chester landing his third Listed victory at the track on Sunday in the six-furlong Queensferry Stakes, a race he has won two years running.

The hardy Green Desert gelding has now recorded 12 wins and nine places from 59 starts. He was bred by Eddie Aldridge from his star producer Silca Cisa (Hallgate), who is also dam of black type winners Golden Silca, Silca’s Sister, Silca Chiave and Silca Legend.

Behind Green Manalishi in third was Mark Of Esteem's dual G1-winning sprinter Reverence.

In Germany, Tiger Hill also enjoyed Listed success when Allanit won the Pattex Rennen on the Preis der Diana (German Oaks) card. Bred by H Pferdmenges, the four-year-old colt is out of the Monsun mare Astibe and is already a winner this season, having landed the Movenpick-Preis at Baden-Baden in May. He is the 22nd Stakes winner for Tiger Hill.
