Gingerbread Man Can't Be Caught

Shamardal gelding Gingerbread Man runs as fast as he can to take out the Listed Singapore Three-Year-Old Classic at Kranji

Named Singapore Champion two-year-old last season, Shamardal gelding Gingerbread Man recorded his second Stakes win in as many starts with the victory.

Sitting behind a tear-away leader, Gingerbread Man hit the front at the 200 metre mark and denied all challengers, asserting his superiority to score a two-length win.

Sold for $30,000 at the 2009 Magic Millions Yearling Sale, the son of Shamardal was bred by Rothwell Park, and is out of the Hurricane Sky mare Quaffle. Quaffle is currently in foal to Lonhro, has a filly weanling by US Champion Three-Year-Old Bernardini and is well-related, being a half-sister to Listed winner Golden Snitch.

A brilliant racehorse who is having huge impact at stud, Shamardal returns to Darley Aberdeen this season and will stand for a fee of $88,000 (inc. GST).
