First-season sire Iffraaj notches his second winner

Godolphin filly Idiom romps to a five-length victory at Newcastle

First-season sire Iffraaj recorded his second individual winner in style on 27 May, when Godolphin’s Idiom broke her maiden in impressive fashion at Newcastle.

Settled towards the rear, the two-year-old filly began to make progress once entering the final two furlongs and hitting the front a furlon g from home, was soon clear and ran on well to win by five lengths.

Bred by Mount Armstrong Stud, Idiom is out of the winning mare Alexander Confranc, now dam of four winners including Cape Cross's G2-placed son Capable Guest.
