First foal for Champion sprinter Slade Power

Sho Girl produces a filly yesterday morning

Champion sprinter Slade Power, winner of the G1 Darley July Cup and Diamond Jubilee Stakes in 2014, had his first foal born yesterday morning when Sho Girl had this lovely filly at Horse Park Stud in Ireland.

Bred (and pictured) by Sarah Lynam, she is the second foal out of Sho Girl, a multiple winner in her only season to race in 2013, and a granddaughter of the Stakes winner Shizao.

Slade Power, who is just about to embark on his second season at stud at a fee of €20,000, was rated the best sprinter for over a decade after his thrilling victory in the July Cup.
