First European Stakes winner for Brazen Beau

Avengers Queen lands Listed Premio Vittorio Crespi in Milan

Brazen Beau continued his successful start to his stud career on Sunday, 9 June when his daughter Avengers Queen won the Premio Vittorio Crespi, becoming his first northern hemisphere Black Type winner in the process.

Avengers Queen won the six-furlong contest by three quarters of a length from Aisa Dream, with a further two lengths back to Play The Break in third. This was her second victory, having won over five furlongs on her racecourse debut on Wednesday, 1 May.

Bred in the UK by Whitsbury Manor Stud, Avengers Queen is out of the four-time winner Showstoppa (Showcasing), herself a half sister to G2 Mill Reef winner Temple Meads.

Brazen Beau, currently second in the European first-season sires’ table, is also sire of the Listed winner and G2-placed Accession in Australia, plus fellow Black Type performers Tassort and First Dawn.
