Fast Company adds new juvenile Stakes winner in style

Simmie makes a successful trip to Chantilly to land the Prix Yacowlef

Two-year-old Fast Company filly Simmie ensured her trip across the Channel was a worthwhile one on 15 November, as she added her first Black type win in the Listed Prix Yacowlef at Chantilly.

Settled just behind the early pace under Gregory Benoit, Simmie made good headway approaching the final furlong and kept to her task superbly to move clear and win the five-and-a-half-furlong contest by two lengths. This was her third career victory.

Bred by D Ryan, D S Ryan and R A Williams, Simmie is one of three winners out of the winning Intikhab mare Kathy Sun, a half-sister to Group winner and Group-winning producer Kathy College.

Fast Company, who will stand on the Darley roster for the first time in 2017, is also sire of G1 Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Jet Setting, plus G2 Ridgewood Pearl Stakes winner Devonshire (third in the previous year’s Irish Guineas).

Fast Company stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €7,000 October 1st SLF.
