Raven's Pass undergoes colic surgery

Raven's Pass will be rested from covering duties for the next six weeks having undergone colic surgery on 20 April.

Jimmy Hyland, Kildangan's Stud Director said, "Unfortunately Raven's Pass underwent colic surgery yesterday. The operation went well and we are relieved he is showing positive signs of recovery."

Raven's Pass has already had some outstanding mares in foal in 2010 including Irish 1000 Guineas winner Nightime, Wolf Cleugh (dam of Moss Vale), Aliya (dam of G1 winner Alandi); and Photophore, a half-sister to Elusive Wave.

His first crop of foals are now on the ground and are out of an outstanding book of mares that included G1 producers Mysterial (dam of Librettist), Independence, Dinka Raja and Multicolour Wave; plus G1 winners Petruskha and Zanzibar.
