Boiling Point scorches home to a five-length victory

Too Darn Hot sires impressive new winner at Thirsk

First season sire Too Darn Hot sired another impressive new winner when juvenile colt Boiling Point scorched home to a five-length victory at Thirsk on Saturday, 9 September.

Boiling Point, the charge of Roger Varian, jumped well and was soon settled in third where he travelled easily under Aidan Keeley. Making progress inside the final two furlongs he then came through to take up the lead and from there victory was never in doubt as he stretched clear of the field in the seven-furlong novice contest to post a smart win. Stay In The Game, also by Too Darn Hot, ran well on his racecourse debut to finish third.

Owned and bred by Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, Boiling Point is the second foal out of the Shamardal mare Lady Momoka, who has produced one other winner. She also has a yearling colt by Night Of Thunder and a filly foal by Dubawi.

A Champion two-year-old colt in Europe, Too Darn Hot is now enjoying a successful start in his new career at stud. From his 14 individual winners, three have already won at Group three level, they include Darnation (Prestige Fillies’ Stakes), Carolina Reaper (Zukunfts-Rennen) and Fallen Angel (Sweet Solera Stakes).
