Tanaza

Aga Khan homebred Dubawi filly wins on her debut at Leopardstown

Tanaza, a juvenile daughter of Dubawi">Dubawi, streaked clear to win on her debut at Leopardstown. Trained by Dermot Weld and entered in the G1 Moyglare Stud Stakes later in the season, she showed an impressive turn of foot to comfortably win by two-and-a-half lengths. She is now reportably on target for the G3 Silver Flash Stakes.

Owned and bred by the Aga Khan, she is the second foal of the Stakes-winning Dalakhani mare Tanoura, whose first foal was the three-year-old Shamardal">Shamardal colt Taniyar, who was third in the Listed Prix de Pontarme at Saint-Cloud last month. Tanoura has been covered this season by New Approach's four-time G1W Dawn Approach.

Tanaza is the first runner bred by Dubawi out of a Dalakhani mare and there has only been one exponant of the same cross with Dalakhani's sire Darshaan, the admirable four-time G1W Al Kazeem.
