An exciting prospect by Teofilo and a close relative of Dawn Approach
The maiden run on Irish Oaks day has a habit of throwing up future champions, and yesterday's running could be no exception, as Teofilo">Teofilo's son Sanus Per Aquam made a winning racecourse debut. Bred to be very good, being a brother to the highly-rated Morning Mix and out of a dam that is a close relative of Dawn Approach, the Jim Bolger bred and trained colt stayed on well to record a one-and-a-quarter length victory with a gaping five lengths back to the third.
Glowing in praise after the race Jim Bolger stated that "He's a big, raw two-year-old and has the physique to progress well. He'll come back here for the Futurity and possibly the National Stakes after that."
