Red Label

Son of Dubawi makes a perfect seasonal debut at Gowran Park

Red Label raced twice during his two-year-old campaign, finishing third at Newmarket on his debut before following up with a convincing win at Leicester last October.

On 30 April, he made a very promising start to his 2017 season, beating a small but select field over nine and a half furlongs at Gowran Park.

Settled in third, Red Label threw down his challenge a furlong from home and quickened impressively to win by a neck from Taj Mahal, with Brutal a further length and a half back in third. The pair behind him were rated 108 and 106 respectively.

Red Label, who holds an entry in the English Derby, is out of the multiple winner and Group-placed mare Born Something (Caerleon), herself a half-sister to G1 winners Goldikova and Galikova.
