Son of Shamardal produces a breathtaking performance on debut

Pakistan Star made a stunning debut at the start of July, reminiscent of another Hong Kong based son of Shamardal in Able Friend, when coming from last to first at Sha Tin.

Green early and soon detached from the field, all looked hopeless turning into the straight, but when he found his stride he flew home to win with any amount in hand. Talk after the race was for a potential tilt at the Hong Kong Derby. Click here to see the thrilling victory.

Bred in Germany by Gestut Wittekindshof and out of the Peintre Celebre mare Nina Celebre, he comes from three generations of unbroken Stakes-winning dams. His second and third dams both won the German Oaks, with his third, Night Petticoat, also producing the German Derby winner Next Desert.
