Full-brother to four-time G1 winner Meandre gets off the mark at Chantilly

A day before the four-time G1 winner Meandre lines up in the G2 Prix Maurice de Nieuil, his full brother Mauve made a winning debut at Chantilly in a maiden over one mile and three furlongs. He defeated ten rivals to win by three-quarters of a length.

The three-year-old son of Slickly is bred and owned by the Rothschild family and trained by Andre Fabre. He is out of the Sevres Rose mare Penne, who was twice placed in Listed company during her own racing career.
