Il Primo Sole made a huge impression on his debut at Yarmouth on Thursday, storming to the lead over a furlong out and then cruising home by four and a half lengths in the. He holds an entry for the G2 Royal Lodge, and is a very promising prospect.
Bred by Biddestone Stud, he is the first foal out of the Johannesburg mare Sweet Alabama whose only placing came when third in a one-mile maiden at three. She in turn is a daughter of the minor Stakes winner Alybgood, a half-sister to Que Belle, heroine of the German Oaks and 1,000 Guineas.
Il Primo Sole was a £55,000 purchase from the Goffs UK breeze up in April, having cost 20,000gns as a foal and €40,000 as a yearling at Tattersalls Ireland.
