Dubawi's three-year-old colt Firnas graduated in style on Thursday 12 May when breaking his maiden n a hotly-contested maiden at Newmarket. Held up in the rear early, he showed a tremendous turn-of-foot coming into the dip, quickening clear to record a facile five-length triumph.
Bred by Watership Down Stud and sold as a yearling for 1,600,000Gns, he is a son of the G1 Fillies' Mile heroine Crystal Music and a half-brother to three Stakes horses. His next likely assignment is a trip to Royal Ascot for the G2 King Edward VII Stakes.
