Cape Cross x Gower Song
Full-brother to the G2-placed Melodious
This strong son of the recently-retired Cape Cross was bred by Usk Valley Stud and is pictured at four weeks old. Out of the Singspiel mare Gower Song, the colt is a full-brother to last season's G2 Park Hill Stakes runner-up Melodious, who was also placed in the G3 St Simon Stakes.
Gower Song was herself a very smart middle distance performer, winning the G3 Dubai City of Gold over twelve furlongs at Nad al Sheba, and the Listed Gillies Stakes at Doncaster. She is a half-sister to the Stakes performers Prince of Denial and Faraway Waters, the latter the dam of Oaks runner-up Something Exciting (Halling), and hails from the very talented family of Shining Water.
