Bred in Europe by Hascombe & Valiant Studs, New Approach's four-year-old son Astronomos continues to rise through the ranks in Australia.
A 260,000gns yearling purchase by Waratah Thoroughbreds and under the tutiledge of David Vandyke, Astronomos has won five of his seven starts, with his latest his best yet when winning over 2000m at Randwick, a victory which left his trainer dreaming of the better things to come, "He is a quality horse and the G1 Metropolitan is the race we have in mind for him....He is laid-back and quite a lazy track worker but he might be the most exciting stayer I've trained"
