Akhlaaq

Impressive debut from son of New Approach

Akhlaaq made a big impression when scoring on his first start, powering home in the closing stages to win by a neck. While he took a while to settle and ran a little green during the six furlong contest, as soon as the penny dropped a furlong from home, the son of New Approach made up a significant amount of ground to run down the two long-time leaders and win with something in hand.

Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock Ltd, Akhlaaq was purchased for 400,000gns as a yearling at Tattersalls. He is a half-brother to the Listed-winning filly Mistrusting (Shamardal) and is out of the G2 Cherry Hinton heroine Misheer.

Akhlaaq holds several Group race entries, including for the G1 Middle Park Stakes, and looks an exciting prospect for his top-class sire New Approach.
