Another winner for in-form Cracksman

First-season sire now has strike rate of 75% winners to runners

The first two-year-olds by Cracksman are really beginning to fly and on Tuesday, 24 May, he added a third winner in just four days when Diamond Angel took the seven-furlong maiden at Rome in impressive fashion.

Diamond Angel was bred by Natton House Thoroughbreds and is out of the Dark Angel mare Lone Angel, herself a half-sister to Group winner Angel’s Hideaway and a further three winners.

From just four runners, Cracksman is now sire of three winners, all of whom have won very easily including Petra, who was victorious by no fewer than 15 lengths on Sunday.

Cracksman won on his sole start at two, before flourishing at three and four, seasons after which he crowned Champion of his generation following two dominant displays in the G1 Champion Stakes. Assessed as the best son of Frankel, he has been well supported at stud and his first yearlings were extremely well received last autumn making up to 410,000gns at the sales.
